Flow Technology delivered two ultrafiltration (UF) skids designed to support high-throughput downstream processing operations in an Irish biopharma facility. Both systems were engineered for process efficiency, reliability, and full SIP integration to ensure compliance with stringent requirements.
UF1 features a flowrate range of 125–620 L/min, delivered by an 11 kW Rotary Multilobe Pump. This skid includes two Pellicon filter holders, offering a total membrane surface area of 68.4 m² per holder. The system is fully SIP-capable up to 135°C, enabling seamless integration.
UF2 operates at flowrates of 125–620 L/min via an 11 kW Rotary Lobe Pump. It also includes two Pellicon holders, providing a membrane area of 45.6 m² per holder. Like UF1, it is designed for SIP up to 135°C and delivers high reliability in demanding ultrafiltration applications.
Both skids were designed with flexibility and performance in mind, incorporating low-shear pumps, robust membrane technology, and compact layouts suitable for cleanroom environments.
