We’re proud to have recently delivered two custom-designed chromatography skids for a customer in France, designed to meet the specific requirements of their biologics purification process. The skids are designed to feed the chromatography columns and manage every stage of the chromatography cycle.

A key factor in the success of this project was the close collaboration between Flow Technology’s engineering team and the customer throughout the design and development process. This collaborative approach delivered a solution tailored to the customer’s operational requirements while ensuring flexibility for future applications.

Constructed entirely from stainless steel at our Kanturk facility in Cork, the skids were fully assembled, wired, and tested for efficient “plug and play” installation.

Key Design Features:
✅ Two identical skids designed with the flexibility to support a wide range of products
✅ ASME BPE stainless steel pipework with an SF4 surface finish on all product-contact parts
✅ Fully drainable design
✅ Fully automated using a DeltaV control system
✅ Central platform providing excellent ergonomic access for operation and maintenance

Main Functions:
➡️ Inline dilution with two diaphragm pumps and a static mixer
➡️ Bubble trap and filtration prior to the chromatography columns
➡️ Multi-product connection using single-use hose connections
➡️ Pressure and flow regulation
➡️ Conductivity and pH monitoring
